Cpedia for Android

Verdict

Easily backup SMS, MMS and Call log to Gmail labels automatically

Review Rating: rating

Platform: Android

Manufacturer: cpedia Mobile

Price: £1.59

This application steps in to fill a gap in the Google/Android contacts equation and lets you easily back up any phone based messages to your wider Gmail database and address book.

The need to do this may be overlooked by some users, but it does help when it comes to switching handsets, retiring smartphones, and taking on new ones. Backing up your data in this way means it comes with you when you need it, and removes itself when you don't.

As well as helping users port their numbers and contacts over the app also keeps them safe in the event of a system crash or a factory restore and preserves messages, email and SMS, across devices. It deserves the high rating that it gets from its users. 5 stars
