Onlive is the gaming system for people that don’t like consoles and is predicted in some quarters to be the next big thing in the market.
The system, which lets you play games online and against your peers, regardless of what hardware they use, is new to the UK, and the app that accompanies it is even newer.
The OnLive app requires at least Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has been tested against a handful of hardware running that OS, and like its bigger brother will let users play console-quality games on their home, or in this case mobile, device.
Touch controls could of course damage the experience a bit, but there are peripherals that can deal with that, and Onlive is perhaps for the more serious gamer.
