Google books for tablets steps in to act as a bridge between the tablet computer and the ebook that is growing in popularity.

It has been recently updated and does have good features for tablet reading, and offers a decent way of navigating pages and following content.

Its lack of features can be a bit frustrating, particularly when you compare it against a standalone e-reader for example, but the app costs nothing and according to Google gives users access to three million books on the go.

A recent update fixed a crashing problem, while Google has also added the ability to add a sign of recommendation to content by letting users Google Plus if they like something.
