Great for travellers and anyone out and about, WiFi Finder is a handy addition to your mobile.

Size: Varies on device
Price: Free
Using a wireless internet connection on your mobile is a faster way to connect to the internet and will not incur charges unlike your data connection. While your Android device is capable of scanning the airwaves for available networks, WiFi Finder is able to tell you about networks that are currently out of range.
The app enables you to track down both free and paid-for connections and the fact that the access point database can be downloaded for offline access means that regardless of whether you have a data connection, you can discover the nearest network connection based on your current location - just make sure GPS is enabled to be pointed in the right direction.
A filtering system is available so you can opt to search for free internet connections in coffee shops, or check to see the prices of paid-for connections in the airport while you wait for a flight.
