MacKeeper is an extensive selection of tools within a well designed application that enable you to manage routine tasks and keep your Mac secure, clean and reliable.

Once the application is first installed the Antivirus will launch and secure all actions you perform on your Mac. Some of the more important features within this suite include a Data Encryptor that hides files using a password so that the data cannot be found through Finder or Terminal, an Undelete feature that scans your hard drive for deleted files that can be still recovered and Backup, which creates reserve copies of your files and folders on external storages. Basically, everything you'd need to keep your Mac up together. 

MacKeeper also ships with a file shredder that deletes files or folders,  waking them unrecoverable and an uninstall tool that completely removes all traces of a removed application.

Also, Should your Mac ever get stolen, the Anti-Theft utility will attempt to track its location and even make an iSight snapshot of the thief.
