Basic but effective way of securing your Android device from potential malware

AVG Antivirus has been a mainstay on some PCs for a few years now, but with the increasing use of mobile devices, including smartphones, mobile versions have become more pressing.
We tested AVG Antivirus Free on an Android handset. It is a free version of the popular tool that, despite its budget appeal, has a nice clean and quick install and relatively easy-to-use notifications and viewing panes.
Automatic scans run regularly, while device-tracking features mean that even misplaced handsets can be found or wiped clean. The app also allows for remote management and patching.
