NetWrite is a very basic but functional HTML editor designed with beginners in mind.

It combines an editing view with a WYSIWYG browser pane, allowing you to simultaneously view the code and preview what the page actually looks like.

Various buttons across the top toolbar let you add elements to the HTML page, and are split into sensible categories.

Select from text formatting options (bold, centre etc.), and define the font type and size to use. Add a background image or colour, insert an image onto the web page, add a hyperlink, and define/insert tables into a web page.

All these commands (along with several others) can be added by simply clicking on a series of buttons. No coding is required.

Any other HTML command can, of course, be added but you will need to do that yourself.

With just the HTML commands included it is possible to create a perfectly adequate and well-designed web page.
