CDH Image Explorer Pro offers a comprehensive solution for managing your media files (graphics and video). It gives you thumbnail viewing, image conversion tools, slideshow creation, Twain acquisition (for acquiring pictures direct from digital cameras and scanners), video editing, conversion and construction, and much more.

There's no learning curve to tackle with this software, as everything is intuitively designed and positioned for instant access and optimum output.

The major functions are displayed in a top toolbar, and many tasks involve launching a separate window, keeping clutter to a minimum.

Many features, such as animated GIF creation and video editing, are by no means advanced, but do provide a quick and easy way to carry out uncomplicated tasks.

If you require advanced features for such tasks, you will need a dedicated tool for the job.

One of Image Explorer Pro's most useful features is the context menu preview, which allows you to view a thumbnail of an image when you right-click on its filename.

Another irrelevant but nice touch is the program's ability play music while it's in use.

Briefly, other features include:

  • GIF to AVI and AVI to GIF conversion
  • 2000+ image special effects
  • Photoshop plugin support
  • 3D text / shaping
  • Image overlaying
  • Icon editor
