One of the oldest and most long-established commercial disk defragmentation tools. However, plenty of free apps make this questionable for home users or a small business.

Great
Diskeeper 2011 is great. So easy to use! I've found diskeeper has always been the best solution for defragmentation.

Why do you display a 5 year-old post?
Is this an error or is a post from 10-31-2006 somehow relevant to this review of a 2011 product? Or is it that the review was posted on Halloween? I'm confused by this anachronism....

Function Limited Demo?
If I understand correctly, your 3 star rating is based on reviewing a function limited demo? Why would you do that? No wonder you compare this version to freebie software! I suppose if one didn't value the fact that Diskeeper 2011: prevents most fragmentation before it happens; is fully automatic; transparently operates with minimal system resource usage; instantly defrags residual fragmentation and so maintains disks fully defragmented one could say that "except for those facts" one might consider a freebie, but that's like saying one should consider a skateboard over an automobile as "it will transport you just fine for free". Here is a more thorough review of this and other leading defrag software offerings: http://www.digzip.com/software/system-tuning/diskeeper-2010/ PS: I don't know where you got a function limited demo for this review, as anyone can download a free, fully functional 30 day trial version at www.diskeeper.com

Diskeeper running out of ideas
I just purchased Diskeeper 2007 and was very disappointed. I think the folks at Diskeeper started running out new ideas with version 8. The software updrades are expensive, and seem to come out way too often IMHO. There never seems to be much new other that with the UI. I prefer version 9 or10 and will continue to use 10 instead of 2007. That said it's is still the best defragmenter when compared to Perfectdisk or O&O.
