Computers are already an indispensable teaching tool for children who, inevitably, will need to learn how to type in order to use them quickly and efficiently.

Animated Beginning Typing 1.2 teaches typing in a fun and exciting way, by packing in a selection of sound effects and animations. It includes a helpful animated tutorial and an on-screen keyboard that highlights the correct keys as they are needed.

The program also features three games to enhance the learning process. 'Jumping Letters' is designed for very young students, and can be played at any pace; 'Letter Drill' allows students to choose between 20 and 120 positioned letters to repeat as practice; and, finally, 'Flying Letters' is an arcade-style game for advanced typists.
