Verdict

This tool has been around for a long while and enables you to produce old-school fancy text effects. Does this well, but there's limited scope for inclusion of these effects on modern websites.

FlaX 4.1

This is the software publisher's description.

FlaX creates real-time text effects for the Macromedia Flash format. It is equipped with 143 predefined effects, subdivided into 52 very adjustable effect groups which can be tweaked using sliders and buttons, creating tens of thousands of unique effects.

Adjustments take effect immediately and effects which were virtually impossible to create manually in Flash have now become reality.

FlaX will export your finished text effect in the Flash format which can then be imported into Flash for inclusion in other work, or inserted directly into a web page.

New features in FlaX v4 include effect bookmarking, angled effects, shaped text, text outline colouring, additional individual letter colouring options and much more.
