WordSmith is one of the best word processing applications available on the Palm handheld, competing head-to-head with Documents To Go for the top spot in popularity.

WordSmith is a word processor, a document reader and an advanced memo pad. Fully compatible with all word processors that read and write RTF documents, you can sync files from Palm to PC with ease.

All the formatting options you could require are featured, including bold, underline, italics, font size and page align. Several different fonts can also be used.

All formatting entered into a WordSmith document is preserved when transferring to a PC.

Documents can be sent directly to a printer from your Palm, but you'll need a utility like PrintBoy to use this facility.

The enhanced memo pad includes the same formatting tools, and makes for a better program than that supplied by Palm.

New features in version 2.2 include Palm OS 5 support, and an enhanced search/replace feature.

Purchase price: $29.95
