Bucking the trend for action games set in World War Two, Far Cry takes place in the tropical splendour of fictional Micronesia.

Jack Carver is a local guide who gets drawn into a world of mercenaries when he offers to transport a journalist who goes missing. In this sample level you have to rescue her.

The graphics are bright and impressive and there are several different ways to complete each section. This games demands a high specification computer and the download is big enough to necessitate a broadband connection.
