This is the Software Publisher's description.

O&O MediaRecovery rescues deleted multi-media files lost through virus attack, program crash or simply through pressing the wrong button.

User-friendly: accidentally deleted multi-media files, such as baby photos, wedding photos or music, can be recovered directly from digital cameras, memory cards and USB Sticks. They must simply be supported by Windows as a drive.

O&O MediaRecovery combines the powerful search processes of the hugely successful data recovery products O&O DiskRecovery and O&O UnErase. It is specifically optimized for multi-media files to achieve the best recovery results possible. Files located using the technology from O&O UnErase are recovered with various file information, while the technology from O&O DiskRecovery even searches for files whose file information has been damaged – either by formatting or overwriting of the file directory.

Data images created by O&O DiskImage can now be included in recoveries for the very first time. To prevent a data loss through defective hardware, a forensic image can be created using the separately available O&O DiskImage. This comprehensive image also saves the (assumed) free disk space so that a full data recovery can be carried out later without touching the original hardware.

Search results are presented in a clear overview, thanks to filters which sort by size or time (creation/last modified/last accessed). The filters can also blend out empty directories or files for refined search results.
