Panda Internet Security

This is the software publisher's description.

Panda Internet Security is a complete security suite, turning computers into fortresses against Internet threats. It not only protects against all types of viruses and spyware, but also includes anti-spam and anti-phishing technologies along with parental control and the Panda Firewall. In addition, it incorporates a specific technology designed to prevent identity theft: Identity Protect. This technology has been created specifically to prevent theft of personal or confidential data, guaranteeing maximum security for users on the Internet.

It prevents data theft (login details, credit card numbers, etc) and protects you from other Internet threats, such as viruses, spyware, hackers and online fraud. For each Panda Internet Security 2009 product purchase, you will obtain protection for up to 3 PCs.

The latest 2009 editions contains a new version of the “Identity Protect” technology. This technology proactively detects any attempt to steal confidential data through a heuristic scanner. Panda’s new solutions also include a new engine for neutralizing banker Trojans. Panda Internet Security 2009 incorporates a personal data filter which allows users to define confidential information (account numbers, passwords, etc.) that should not leave the PC without the user’s consent. All this aims at preventing theft of confidential data.

Another new key feature is the TruPrevent 2.0 engine for behavior-based malware detection. This engine provides protection against unknown malware and attacks exploiting vulnerabilities. The new TruPrevent 2.0 has been greatly improved, increasing the detection rate substantially while decreasing the number of false positives.

The new anti-spam engine included in Panda Internet Security 2009 and Panda Global Protection 2009 uses Collective Intelligence technology and increases the spam detection rate eliminating the vast majority of unwanted email.
