FreeRIP

As Windows Media Player doesn't rip MP3s, FreeRIP is a good alternative offering the abilitiy to rip CD audio into CD quality WAV files; Ogg Vorbis or MP3 files.

The freedb CD database, and ID3 Tagging (Version 1 and 2) are all supported for complete management of your audio files; and you can convert audio files from one supported file format to another (WAV to OGG, OGG to MP3, MP3 to WAV etc).

All the usual encoding options are available (bitrate etc), the track volume can be manually altered, and it is possible to perform batch conversions.

In a bid to support its freeware status it does come bundled with a music search bar for finding music on the Internet or Amazon.
