If you're compiling your family tree or history, then a genealogy program can help by keeping track of all those names, dates and places.
Cumberland Family Tree is an easy-to-use program that offers multiple features and a multilingual interface.
Names are automatically linked when added to the database, and provisions for up to 250 events per person, multiple marriage support, and the ability to store scanned photos and documents are also included.
Up to 31 different reports can be printed, and the program's key concept of producing an exhaustive book lets you recreate a family history as comprehensive as the inputted data will allow. You can even create a complete biography of each individual family member.
The family history book compiles all the raw data entered and creates a readable log of events in the order they occurred.
The ability to add photographs and original source documents to the finished book gives it a nice, personal touch.

CFT on Windows
Since stating my problem with upgrading CFT and moving fromWin 98 to Win XP, I have been greatly helped (and successfully!) by a member of staff (Mark Williams) at S&N Genealogy Supplies Ltd. I subsequently purchased a couple of new genealogy software packages from them, and also the last version of CFT. Other than as a satisfied customer, I have no connection with S&N . CFT and Mr Lund
I too have simiar problems. I cannot use my prog anymore on my new laptop running windows 7. What was the answer to locating the CFT home page or Mr Lund? Where can I go to convert my data to suit a new Family Tree Prog if CFT is no longer operational? Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks. Alan

User Code Needed
I just want to know what the user code is for CFT 3.14. It is not CFT-459872 or CFTWNF-19531636, these do not work. I can not get back into my program after upgrading.

Accessing Cumberland Family Tree Files
Messers Best and Zoss I would assume that if the CFT website is no longer accessible then the program is no longer in development or supported and as such, you will need to consider looking at a new Family Tree Software program for your future needs. If you like, I would be happy to take a look at your data files and see if I can recover some or all of your family tree information for you. My contact details are available on my company website. CFT Software
I have had CFT v2.5 on my Win 88 Laptop for about ten years , and , - since 2006 - , have been exchanging e-mails with Mr.Ira Lund so as to convert to v3.14 , or later.Unfortunately this has not been completed as I have had to be away at times. At present it appears that v3.14 HAS been downloaded, but, -contrary to expectations -, has over-written v2.50 (which had remained readable, and capable of taking on new data). So now my data has become inaccessible, as it appears that the 45 day trial period now works differently. There is no e-mail response from Mr.Lund, and the CFT web site is "temporarily closed" since December 2007. Is there any way you can help me retrieve my data (which I know is still there , as shown by SEARCH FOR files called "*.tps"). Or what has become of Mr. Lund and CFT Software. I need to use my data NOW ! Thank you.
