Finding new and interesting music isn’t particularly easy unless you have the time to listen to a lot of radio or you want to legitimately listen to entire songs, before you make your mind up whether you think the album is worth buying. Even then, it’s easy to be disappointed. How many times have you bought an album to find there are only two or three tracks that interest you?
The answer is to stream your audio tracks from the Internet, each time you want to listen to a different album. Instead of storing all your tracks on your hard drive, wasting space, you just find a new track and then stream wirelessly to your speakers using something like the Apple Airport Express device.
Spotify is a popular and relatively new of listening to an audio collection. Download the application, find the track you want to hear and stream if from the Internet to your speakers. All for free. Well, free plus radio-style audio adverts. You can get rid of these adverts if you upgrade to the Premium edition, which costs £9.99/month, but also gives you a much higher bitrate of 320kbps and no advertisements.
Spotify only gives you a right to listen to audio tracks on a strictly personal non-commercial basis. You’ll still need a public performance license if you listen to audio within any environment which involves the public or employees. It’s also limited to a small number of territories, including the UK.

Do you agree?
And it's not real music
You're not getting the full music either, just a horrible digitally castrated streamed version. Mind you, if you don't know any different and think that the thin watery sound is how all music sounds I suppose that doesn't matter..............

A PITY ITS BEEN SPOILT,
a pity spotify has been spoilt by shortening the listening time, I feel by cutting the time by half and even more advertising has spoilt this program free or not,

It's 10 quid a month people
How many CDs can you buy for that? This is bargain of the century, nearly all the music you'll ever want to hear, old or new. There are groups like ACDC and Pink Floyd that don't agree with any electronic medium, but they'll have to change their minds someday. I'm not biased in any way other than thinking it's great I can listen to almost anything I want for 10 quid a month!!

Excellent: IF you signed up last year...
I was one of the fortunate people who got a guest account free last year. I use it every day. However, after recommending this to all my friends, I get a lot of pain because they can't sign up and I can't give them an invite. Have a guess how many people in the same position have handed on their own login credentials so they can help out their mates? I suspect that number is pretty high. I, of course, would never stoop so low, but Spotify are cutting off their noses to spite their own faces by stopping free accounts.

No point downloading if you can't get an invite
You need an invite from somebody who has the premium version and has invites to spare. So unless you know someone like this there is no point downloading. The free version is ad supported. You have to listen to ads about every 20 mins. So it is incorrect to say they will go bust if no-one pays. Google is also free and they are making billions.

It still ain't 'Free' and you STILL have to have an invite
I still can't get an invite and therefore the program states that the ONLY option is Premium paid. as for paying that's what the adverts are for ! BUT you still can't get an invite to join, pay attention please. 0/10

This is only 'FREE' if you have an invite and a code
The link is misleading; you can't have a free account unless you have an invite. As to the person above; its supported by adverts, that's the 'free model' so the claims are not justified. But you still can't have a free account.

Spotify
This is such a great and present day system that it deserves to be paid for to enable the creators to continue such a brilliant music distribution system. They will go bust if no one pays!
