The shoot-em-up is one of the original game genres, and although games today may have advanced in terms of graphics and sound, it doesn't necessarily follow that the gameplay is as good. It often holds true that the older games are the best, having far more playability than their modern counterparts (remember the Spectrum ZX and Commodore 64?).
Astraware understand this, and with Zap!2000 have managed to produce a thoroughly modern game which incorporates all the best aspects of the classic arcade-style shoot-em-up, without sacrificing gameplay at all.
All the elements you could wish for are here - asteroid belts, end of level bosses, weapon power-ups, shields, bonuses - everything you remember from those classic games of your youth (if you are old enough to remember them - if not, don't worry, this game has loads of appeal).
This demo version includes two of the seven levels available in the registered version, and both the grey scale and colour versions (for Palm IIIc) are included. Check out the Astraware website for plenty of hints, tips and cheats to assist your progression through the levels.
