Some of us are capable of managing our tasks, meeting arrangements and basic contact details, without the need of a diary or contact manager. However, it’s easy to get complacent. Step up to managing an advanced project and you’ll soon find that you lose track of who’s doing what, when they’re doing it and the raw materials needed to finish the task (and finish on time).
One option would be to track your details on various pieces of paper. Lose that information and you find that you lose details of your project.
The other option is to install some project management software, such as ConceptDraw Project. This is a cross-platform project management tool, so if some of your colleagues are working on a Mac, they can use your project plan and share the project details.
Working with ConceptDraw Project might seem daunting at first, but it’s relatively easy to get started. You start by creating a task/project and then simply assigning people to the project. You can then enter start dates within the project so people know the date they need to start working. You can enter end dates too, so you can keep a track on the progress of your project.
