Creating a simple PDF document is easy as there are various free PDF tools available, including the rather excellent PrimoPDF. These free tools are enough for most home users to create turn a document in to a PDF, which can in turn be used as a download on their homepage or as a cross-platform document.

Problem is, there are many situations where you’ll need to go far further than creating a basic PDF document. If you need to turn a newsletter in to a commercially printed document, then your printer will require a PDF document produced to a certain standard, including embedded fonts and images.

There are other scenarios, too. If someone emails you across a PDF for your comments, you’ll need a tool where you can drop in comments, save and then send it back to the other user. You may even need to convert an old PDF document, bring two documents together to create a single document and more.

Nitro Pro 7 is your answer. It’s a more competitively priced version of Adobe Acrobat, but without lacking any of the Acrobat features. Ships with a superb user-interface, making it a breeze to use and, as it’s no slouch, you can realistically use it as an advanced PDF viewer, if required.

The latest Nitro Pro 7 ships with a re-written and much-improved rendering engine, support for XFA forms and much more.
