OmniRemote is a neat application that turns your Palm handheld into a multifunctional remote control.

There is no limit to the number of devices it can control, supporting everything from TVs and video recorders to amplifiers and CD players.

This is possible because OmniRemote can be trained to emulate different remote controls. Simply select a device from the dropdown menu (TV, VCR etc.), select a button and press the corresponding button on the original remote.

The whole OmniRemote interface is configurable, allowing you to edit/create buttons at will, select from numerous fonts, and alter the layout as you wish.

Macro support enables the truly lazy to perform several functions with a single button press. Macros can even be put on a timer for unattended operation.

Purchase price: $24.95
