Like Printboy, IrPrint allows you to print data from the standard Palm applications.

It is also compatible with Documents To Go and WordSmith for the Palm, which means word-processing and spreadsheet files can be printed.

All document formatting is kept intact when printing, and colour is maintained should you have a colour Palm and printer.

Additionally, when used in conjunction with the manufacturer's other program, AltCtrlHack, you can print both the Palm's clipboard contents and the active screen of any application.

Automatic printer driver selection ensures that IrPrint always works, although it appears only to support HP printers and a small selection of portable printers from Canon and Citizen.

Much wider printer support can be found in PrintBoy, although IrPrint's advantage is that it offers support for portable printers.
