MidWavi Pro offers everything you would expect from a major player, but without the corresponding price.
Although not entirely comprehensive, MidWavi is powerful enough for the average user and doesn't have the excess baggage of other players.
It lets you play audio and video files in a variety of formats including AU, Med, Mpeg Layer 2 and 3, Mid and Wav, Avi, Mov and Mpeg (including VideoCD).
All the usual facilities are present, such as a tag editor, random play, program play, playlists (registered version only) and video resizing options.
There's a powerful search facility for supported file types, with the ability to store 48,000 filenames - 24,000 each of audio and video files.
This is an essential tool for anyone with a large database of multimedia files from which to source.
A basic graphics viewer lets you view images too (BMP, FIF, JPG and WMF). You can resize and send images direct to a printer from within the program.
Zip support is included, so that you can store your media in a Zip file that MidWavi Pro can play.
The player can also be controlled from the System Tray.
Note: MidWavi Pro requires an ASPI driver to run properly. If your system has CD-burning software installed, you'll be okay. If not, you can download the driver by clicking here.
