NeoPaint

This is a powerful graphics tool with enough features to keep all but the most sophisticated graphic artist happy.

A clear and well-presented interface makes it ideal for beginners, but it still features a variety of advanced tools to satisfy the more experienced.

It has extensive support for different file types, including the usual Jpeg, GIF, PCX, TIFF and BMP, along with the impressive PNG format.

Use NeoPaint to create graphics for all media (desktop publishing, presentations, internet etc), with its numerous painting and drawing tools akin to more expensive packages.

NeoPaint has some features that set it apart from other budget graphics packages. The most useful of these is the integrated picture browser, which enables you to preview images in thumbnail form. This can be done for single files or a complete folder at once. The files can then be opened, copied, moved or deleted using incorporated file management tools.

Twain support is included, providing direct access to most Twain-compatible scanners and digital cameras. This enables the package to encompass all aspects of image capture/manipulation, including web graphics (animated or otherwise).

A built-in GIF and Jpeg optimiser enables files to be adapted and reduced in size for internet use. There is also a 'load from web' option that lets you load images directly into NeoPaint from a website itself.
