DivX is a common video format on the internet that cannot be played in Windows without installing a decoder first. This download package from DivX includes a player for web browsers, a standalone player and a converter for watching the videos on other devices.

The DivX Plus Player can play DivX videos as well as media files saved in AVI, MKV, MP4 and Mov videos and can then be used to transfer them to mobile devices.

The Web Player can play videos up to 1080p resolution with 5.1 surround sound. Subtitles can displayed if they are available. The player can save videos if you want to watch them again or transfer them to another player.

The Codec Pack allows other software to play and convert files to and from DivX.

DivX Pro costs US$20 and has a more capable codec pack and converter that can also combine several videos into one file. An extra US$10 adds the ability to import and copy DVDs (though only those without copy protection)
