When we go on holiday for a couple of weeks, or are unfortunate to be ill from work for a long period, no-one is accessing our email. On return, we often find that we can have hundreds of emails (and mostly spam) to download.
This is where Outlook can sometimes go wrong. It downloads the email in to one database (PST) file and stores all your email in one location. If your system freezes or needs to reboot, three quarters through downloading all your email, the next time you start Outlook, it will want to download your email again, from scratch. This results in numerous duplicate emails in your database.
Indeed, if you move your Outlook email to another system, you also might find that you suffer from a lot of duplication.
Duplicate Email Remover is a powerful and flexible Microsoft Outlook plugin designed to search and process your mail messages, searching for duplicate emails.
Note that this is a plugin for Microsoft Outlook. If you use Outlook Express, you can download a number of similar tools from the MAPILab website.
