Kaspersky Anti-Virus is specifically designed for home users to protect their computers from attack.
You have full control over all the possible sources of virus infection, including the internet, disks, archived and compressed files and, of course, email.
Kaspersky's protection is thorough, tackling viruses, Trojans, internet worms, dangerous Java applets and Active X. Like all antivirus software, should a virus be found, its effects are neutralised immediately.
The beauty of Kaspersky Anti-Virus is that, unlike most antivirus software, this program is automatically updated daily via the internet to ensure that a high level of protection is maintained.
Combine this with an excellent support service and guaranteed preparation of emergency treatment modules, and you have complete protection.
Other features include SafeStream technology for faster scanning, the facility to scan files that have been created or modified since the last scan and an improved user interface.

Great potential but limited on Vista
Although Kapsersky AV delivers a high level of protection and ease of configurability with a much improved GUI, one of its main assets, application control is severely limited in Vista. Thus, it does not provide protection against keylogers. So for Vista as with ZA Internet Security you are paying the same price for less protection. vnunet.com comment: Kaspersky v8 is already in beta, but we were asked not to make it available online, whilst in beta.

System Performance -- Kasypersky-Norton
Over the years I have always been a Norton customer. However NortonAV 2005 caused me alot of headaches. It slowed down my computer and was slow to open etc. I then moved to Kaspersky AV and what a disappointment they were. The interface was clunky and boot-up time was slow. I decided to give Norton one more chance and downloaded Norton AV2007 from this site(thanks fileflash). Boy can I tell you I was pleasently surprised! It installed in a matter of minutes, and didnt hog system resources in anyway. After 15 days of happiness I purchased the full version. I should point out that Norton AV2007 does the basic jopb of removing viruses and spyware rootkits etc, but if you need a more advanced protection. I would try out an all in one package. Norton 360 is my next test! Might be cheaper for me too as I have 3PCs and it gives protection for up-to 3PC's all for same price! nice.. PS. AVG is also a very good product but I'm a firm beliver of what you pay is what you get. There's no such thing as a free lunch. AVG may give you a free product but are the virus definitions up to date?????

Kaspersky
Kaspersky 6.0 bought at PC World and loaded up. All programs previously loaded began malfunctioning and generating error messages. Desktop shutting down randomly. Kaspersky removed and my computer works as before. Kaspersky is a waste of money.

kaspersky
The only product to date which detected and cleaned viruses that others could not.To be fair, Symantec detected but did not clean or quarantine. Others didn;t even come close. I hope I'm not the only one to say that this package deserves more review.
