JiWire Hotspot Helper for Firefox

Sales people and those on the road are often given a Windows-based laptop where they’re simply barred from installing further software. The software installed on the system, when loaned to you for your sales pitch, is the software you’re expected to use, whether you agree or disagree with the selection. Install additional software and you might be given a warning or even fined.

Luckily there are a number of applications that can be installed or managed from a USB drive, such as the portable version of Mozilla Firefox. You can install Firefox, along with your plugins and extensions, use this from your USB drive, without installing software on your business laptop.

JiWire Hotspot Helper for Mozilla Firefox is an extension that gives you all the benefits of the regular JiWire Hotspot Helper, without the need for installation. It acts as a plugin for Firefox, which you could run from your USB drive.

You’ll be able to search for local hotspots, examine the supplied hotspot database, quickly see the strength of your wireless connection and benefit from the security provided by JiWire.

An Internet Explorer toolbar is also available from the JiWire homepage.
