IvanView is a tidy application that provides Windows Explorer-like browsing capabilities with minor editing functions.

Images can be flipped, rotated, mirror-reversed and resized, descriptions can be added to each image and numerous effects can be applied to images. These effects are split into four sections: Colours, Filters, Morphing and Distort.

Format support is pretty good, covering BMP, GIF, TIFF, JPEG, PCD, PCX, PBM, PGM, PNG, PSD, TGA, WMF and JPEG 2000.

When browsing images you select a folder in one window and are presented with thumbnail images in another window, with a final window which displays the selected image at a slightly larger size.

Browse through a folder of images manually, or run a slideshow complete with image descriptions.
