If you are on a network this is a fun utility you can use to take control of a colleague's PC. You will need full access to their PC (i.e. be able to browse to their system folder) in order for it to work.

If you can get access, once you have initiated a client for the other machine you can take control of various functions.

With Total Control you can run various programs on their PC, including Windows Explorer, Scandisk, Calculator and Notepad; hide the current application for x seconds; or close the current application.

You can also mess about with their desktop, hiding icons and the taskbar, and even swap their mouse buttons.

You can cause messages to pop up on-screen, ranging from "Out of memory" to my favourite: "Your mother knows you are ugly".

You can also control various other elements of someone else's PC. But don't worry - no changes are permanent.

Note: You will need Visual Basic Runtime files in order to use this software. See System Requirements (below) for detals.
