LimeWire has arguably taken the position previously held by Napster, and more recently Kazaa, as the world's most popular P2P file-sharing client.
With a guarantee of no spyware, adware or bundled software, it also aims to be the most carefree.
You can look for pretty much anything - movies, pictures, games or text documents - and the clear and uncluttered interface makes for a surprisingly straightforward search.
The ability to preview files while they download is very useful and there is a marked increase in download speed compared to previous updates.
iTunes integration has been included for Windows users, and a 'What's New' tab lets you search for the most recent additions.
As with most Gnutella clients, download speeds and reliability are never going to be spellbinding, but at this price it's perhaps something you can live with.
This download is the Basic free edition. This new v5 contains a completely brand new user-interface.

causes choas on computer,wold not work correctly took ages to unload ,be sure to clean computer if you make the mistake of downloading this

VIRUSES
SCAN EVERYTHING!!!!! EVEN MUSIC FILES!!!! viruses can disguise themselves as "rich content" so NEVER open rich content & ONLY USE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER!!!

Watch out!!
The company who produced Limewrire have stopped supportijng new versions as the issues caused by Limewire are herendeous. Limewire has a magnet on it which attracts other downloads similar however it also brings in viruses, malware, trojans and auto run scripts. Stay away if you value your PC. Regards Craig

Asking for trouble
I have had to removed viruses and malware from loads of PC's and they all had one thing in common..LIMEWIRE!! After removing these unwanted parasites and uninstalling LimeWire are they without problems and only in the odd occasion are they returned to me at a later date with viruses only for me to find out that they have reinstalled LimeWire. If you are tempted to use this software then remember to virus scan EVERYTHING!!!

Awesome
I think this is the new "Kazaa" program. When I say that I mean its a FREE program that connects to a boatload of people, bringing tons of media downloads on a huge network, and its very easy for new users to pick up in a second. That was how Kazaa was. Free, large network, media downloads, easy to learn. The difference between LimeWire and Kazaa is that there is no Spyware, Adware or Viruses, something that Kazaa was full of. Its great because tons of people will download this program with the same intentions of Kazaa but those spyware problems will be nonexistent. Good work Limewire.

Spyware and Virus Download Tool
Strange that just about every PC which has Limewire and a teenager or adult with a large music collection also has Spyware and Viruses. So many in fact that their PC's need extensive trouble-shooting and repairs. Stay aware from Limewire, it's a Spyware and Virus Haven.

limewire pro bad customer support
I wouldn't advise buying limewire pro for the extra features as the customer support is really bad, they sent me rude replies and have ignored further emails from me. Its not worth the money - check out http://www.gnutellaforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=45 to see all the problem with the product. You will find thread after thread about the problems with limewire.

Limewire
Nice program, but watch out for lots of viruses. Don't download anything that's 851.7kb....all viruses. Suggest you use Limewire for music only.
