In stark contrast to some software, Kodak's EasyShare package actually lives up to its name: not only does it look inviting, but on the whole it is incredibly ease to use.
After searching your computer for any images and other media files, EasyShare shows what it has found as a display of thumbnail images.
Clearly recognisable icons give access to the most common features, while a series of buttons on the left of the screen lets you switch between your file library, printing facilities and sharing options.
Albums are created by dragging and dropping photos. EasyShare lets you search, sort and save files to CD, as well offering basic editing tools.
All processes have been made as simple as possible with details in plain English. Admittedly, the print options are rather basic compared to other programs such as Photoshop Album or ACDSee, but bear in mind that this program is free.
With EasyShare you can email images without leaving the application, and addresses can be accessed from programs such as Outlook. You can also upload your photos to the web and share with your friends.
Note that the 'installer' here is merely a 1.5MB stub that requires Internet access to download the full package.
