East-Tec Eraser lets you permanently erase data from your PC, preventing software/hardware recovery. This applies to computer and internet privacy as well as to any other file you may wish to permanently erase.

When erasing computer and internet files East-Tec Eraser will delete data from the swap file, all temporary files, Windows application logs, Recently Used Documents list, run command and Find Files list. It also erases data from all browsers (Internet Explorer, Netscape and Opera), including cookies, history, cache and Media Player, and RealOne activity.

It will erase all of the above data by default, or you can manually select items to erase.

The program can also permanently erase email history: all deleted emails can be securely wiped to prevent recovery. This aspect works with all major email clients (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Pegasus Mail etc.).

Permanent deletion of other files can be carried out on a general basis to wipe securely all deleted files from specified hard drives, or you can manually select existing files to erase.

Using the computer and internet privacy feature we managed to recover 300MB of disk space on our PC, which is more than any optimisation software has done before.

Data erasure can be carried out at varying security levels, although the better the erasure the longer the process takes.

This 2004 edition adds the ability to remove sensitive information from P2P applications and increases application support (Adobe Acrobat 5, Avant Browser, ICQ 2003 PRO, mIRC 6, Smart Explorer, Netscape/Mozilla).
