This is a handy piece of freeware that, once installed, sits in your system tray and quietly prevents any and all pop-up windows appearing.

Although permanently active in the system tray, Pop-Up Stopper's blocking capabilities can be quickly disabled if desired.

Alternatively, it is possible to allow an individual pop-up window through by holding down the CTRL key when clicking on a link.

A sound can be played or visual notification displayed every time a pop-up is blocked.

This free edition only supports Internet Explorer (5.x and above) and Netscape (4.x and above).

If you need support for other browsers such as Opera, or more functionality, then upgrade to the Pro edition ($29.95).
