Spyware Doctor provides three-way spyware protection for your PC through real-time threat blocking, advanced system scanning and immunization against known browser infections.
Anti-virus software and firewalls do not fully protect your system against the majority of spyware and privacy threats.
When you consider the amount of valuable and confidential personal information stored on your PC, including credit card and banking details, private e-mails and documents, shopping and browsing habits, the risks of having software intruders snooping on your computer activity are obvious.
New features include a smaller and faster footprint than previous editions, meaning it will start more quickly and check for spyware in the background, without affecting your work. I'm now using a combination of PC Tools' software to protect my computer: Registry Mechanic, Spyware Doctor with Anti-virus, PC Firewall and ThreatFire Pro...so far, no regrets at all.

Better than 5.1
Version 5.5 seems to work better than version 5.1. It does not slow down my PC as in the previous version.

Application of the year!
I have renewed with PC - Tools Spyware Doctor for the 3rd year running now and it has been a fantastic program to have! My only gripe is that I wish it would load up in the background when you first open your browser of choice. This would save time and would stop various other applications slowing down while it searches for todays update etc.. Regarding this, I have since contacted PC-Tools and they have taken note of my request.

SD solved my problem
Having Norton installed, still could not realise the reason of constant IE crashes. Spyware Doctor has detected a threat and removed it. So the problem has gone - it was a buggy spyware module loaded with my explorer and crashing it. I uninstalled SD later on to save my computer resources, but Norton will go as well as I don't trust it anymore. Fixed the problem where the big guy that I always trusted turned out to be a waste of money.

Better than any other
I have used many anti-spyware products over a period of time and you don't get much better than Spyware Doctor. Can't recommend enough.
