Hard drives become fragmented over time, but the solution is fairly simple - defrag your hard drive(s). However, this generally involves stopping all running processes and leaving your PC alone for a few hours or more so that it can undertake the defrag.

Not with mst Defrag. This software can perform what the manufacturer calls a 'proactive' defrag. In other words, it will continually monitor the status of a PCs drives and optimise them in the background at all times.

It does this using a PCs 'idle time' which is CPU time not required by other processes. The result is no noticeable difference in performance during a defrag.

A manual defrag can also be performed at any time, and we recommended you perform one upon initially installing the software.
