WordZap is a two-player word game, playable against a computer opponent or a real challenger via the internet. Start a game and eight randomly chosen letters (vowels and consonants) are displayed on the left. To the right are spaces to place up to seven words.
The aim of the game is to be first to construct seven different words using the given letters. The tricky part is that you can only see your own created words; all you can tell of your opponent is how many words they have currently made.
Should either of you make a word the other has already got, then the word is removed ('zapped') from both lists and can't be used again.
Four different takes on the same game are provided, ranging from very easy to real hard. EazyZap is the simplest, allowing only words of three to six letters. LongZap increases the difficulty by upping this to four to six characters.
Once you have mastered these, on to WordZap and MatchZap. WordZap lets you create words of any length but only letters adjacent to those in play can be used. MatchZap is identical but with a four letter word minimum.
WordZap can be played in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, German, Portuguese and Norwegian, with complete dictionaries for each language.
