Verdict

A good, solid application that will suit most needs

Review Rating: rating

Platform: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7

Manufacturer: Core FTP

Size: 3.3MB

Number of Downloads: 3299

Price: Free

Core FTP is an FTP client with all the features you'd expect: SSL support, browser integration, resume transfers, drag and drop support, command line transfers etc.

Along with SSL, Core FTP supports both the TLS and SFTP methods for secure transfer of files, and files can be queued and resumed should the need arise.

Auto-connection of lost transfers is included, and it appears to support large files. There is no mention of the maximum file size supported, and the largest file we tried was only 300Mb, but it's likely to be more than enough for most users.

The interface may seem a little basic but this is only an FTP client, and in some respects a simple interface is more suitable for the tasks to be performed.

The only downside is a lack of documentation; should you wish to try out some of the more advanced features you're on your own.
