MusicBridge

Anyone who is a fan of Windows Media Center and uses this to show their favourite photos, videos and play audio tracks through their living room TV, will know that it’s not an easy task to manage your audio tracks through a popular media tool such as iTunes and Windows Media Player. You can manually move across track information, but this can take ages if you’ve got a huge collection of audio CDs stored within iTunes.

There is an alternative. MusicBridge is a tool that you can use to migrate track information from iTunes to Windows Media Player (which will play AAC-encoded tracks with the correct codec), including your tune rating, artwork and other info. This means that when you use Windows Media Center to play your audio tracks, the tracks you manage through iTunes will be available to play through your living room TV, or other source.

The synching is a manual process, however. It’s not currently automated. You need to start MusicBridge and manually control the synchronisation process.
