Disk and Registry Alert provides you with a different method of ensuring all files installed and registry entries made during a program installation are removed upon uninstall.
The program works by taking 'before' and 'after' shots of your drive(s) and registry settings. It then uses these to prepare a list of all changes made to your system.
The list of changes can be printed and saved for future reference. When you uninstall the application you can then use this list to ensure that all installed files and new registry entries have been removed.
If they haven't you can then remove them manually.
This program is also useful for ensuring no extra software is installed during the installation. This allows you to manually remove any spyware or adware that may have been installed, without removing the program you intended to install.
When viewing disk changes you can choose to display specific file types only, which will reduce the size of the list but limit the functionality of the software.
