ReadPlease is a free software title that converts on-screen text into speech, making life easier for those with visual impairments.

The software is easy to use, although can be a little tiresome. Text has to be copied and pasted into ReadPlease from the source document, rather than read directly from the source document.

There is a selection of voices, but none of these sound particularly natural, sounding more like a robot with nasal problems. However, all software of this type suffers from the same problem.

It can read text aloud in the following languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese.

It does have its problems, but no more than similar programs.
