Total Organizer

Everyone has to manage a project through their career. Indeed, some people would argue just bringing up kids is a project in itself.

Either way, there are project management software titles that will enable you enter a project and then assign people, tasks and a schedule of work so you can track progress.

There are commercial versions, but these are aimed at project managers. Total Organizer is a free tool that will enable you to manage small office projects and tasks you face around the home (or combine the two if you work from home).

For instance, if you're a web developer your key project might be the fact that you're involved with web design, and then you can assign each individual project as a task.

Within this task, you can add 'to do' notes, schedule information and keep note of your key contacts.

The author reminds us that this application is still in development and welcomes feedback in regards to the design of the interface and use of the software.
