FontExpert
Use this powerful manager to take care of your font collection

Everyone uses fonts within their work, whether you’re producing a newsletter for a local organisation, a letter of complaint to your council or simply producing a home movie that you plan to burn to a DVD.

Windows offers basic management of your fonts. Indeed, your fonts are stored in a folder that isn’t readily accessible and your fonts are named in a manner that makes it difficult to find a font through Windows Explorer. When Windows can store both TrueType and Adobe Type 1 fonts, this means that some applications can use both types of font, whereas others can only use the Windows TrueType font – that means your favourite font may not be available to all your creative applications.

FontExpert 2007 is a font management application that enables you to preview and manage both installed and uninstalled typefaces, plus examine your system for font errors. You can display the list of installed font faces, customisable font samples and advanced font properties.

If you can’t find the font you’re looking for, FontExpert 2007 will enable you to search for fonts on your system and can import external fonts. For instance, you could search the many commercial online font suppliers, download and then import and manage your new fonts within FontExpert.
