eBay Desktop

Traditional retailers must feel that they’re up against it when the Internet became popular at the end of the 90s. It enabled the average user to obtain knowledge that took them beyond some of the staff who worked in retail. However, with the launch and popularity of eBay, it’s now enabled the average user to become their own retailer, buying and selling products that they either do not want, have obtained cheaply through ‘other sources’ and able to purchase across territories, so US products are now available to the UK market.

For this reason, eBay has become hugely popular and the defacto online auction of choice. Up until recently, you either had to rely on your web browser to control and manage eBay content or use a third-party tool that had to be authorised via eBay in order to enable you to obtain access. These tools never enabled the full functionality of eBay, simply as they were produced and developed by third-party development teams.

eBay Desktop is an official tool released from eBay and will enable you to login with your regular login/password and then perform all your regular eBay activity through the single interface. Works well, is designed professionally and will enable you to ditch your browser for eBay activity.

The download here requires the installation of Adobe Air and is the Windows version. There is a Mac OS X version available from the eBay Desktop website.

This is the final official release of eBay Desktop.
