This is the software publisher’s description.

You surf the web using and storing multiple usernames, email addresses and passwords. You then visit a web site, a few months after registering, and forget your password and often your username. Although this information is stored within Internet Explorer, how do you get the information from the browser to the online form?

IE PassView is a small utility that reveals the passwords stored by Internet Explorer browser. It supports the new release candidate version of Internet Explorer 7.0, as well as older versions of Internet Explorer.

It enables to find your passwords and other information if you want to migrate this information across to another browser, such as Firefox.
