SP Utilities is a suite of tools focusing on maintaining your PC security, but it also includes a couple of other useful functions.
Rather than running as a standalone program SP Utilities integrates with both Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer, running as a small panel at the bottom of the screen.
Switch between features at the press of a button, selecting between an internet eraser, private favourites, file encryption/decryption, secure file erasure and the erasure of all temp folders.
These all do exactly what their titles suggest and, despite a lack of instructions, most features can be mastered in half an hour of investigation. File encryption can be done in any of seven different algorithms: Blowfish, Cast128, Gost, Idea, Misty1, RC2 and TwoFish.
SP Utilities also has three features not related to security: a download manager for organising, managing and resuming downloads; a pop-up blocker that also blocks banner ads; and a tool for listing and printing the contents of folders.
