eBay sales-tracking and reporting tool that shows potential, but the interface is really bland

Whilst most of us tend to access eBay through our web browser, there are number of desktop alternatives that will enable you to keep an eye on your bids. Indeed, there are a number of auction sniping tools that will launch a bid at the last possible moment, with the hope that you’ll succeed in outbidding other users.
There are, however, few tools designed to help the eBay seller, particularly those who run a business through eBay. Sure, there are tools that you can use to put an auction online, but unless you want to start typing your finances in to a spreadsheet, few tools that will perform an analysis on the performance of your eBay-based sales.
AuctionX2 is designed purely to maximise your sales through eBay. You can download a sales report, create graphs that will show which products are performing most productively and even the profit you’re making on your sales. You can also keep track on the bidders that regularly bid on your items or win your goods. In future, when you promote similar products, you could use AuctionX2 to remind those eBay users that similar products are available.
AuctionX2 contains a number of useful features, but is poorly designed. Take a look at the Mac-based iSale as a good example of a well-designed application.

Dear Mr Wiles, Many thanks for your review of AuctionX2 recently on vnunet. We were particularly interested in your comments regarding the user interface of AX2 and have today made a new release of the product v.1.1.0.17 which amongst other changes contains a 24bit colour toolbar in the main application window bringing the most commonly used features to hand and improving (we feel) the look of the GUI. We have also updated the screenshots on the AX2 website to reflect this change. I would also bring your attention to feedback from users of iSale which you mention in your review of AX2. Saving me time
I've been using the free trial version of AuctionX2 and have to say I'm impressed. I tend to use Spoonfeeder for my sales but could find nothing for post sales and used to just key everything into a spreadsheet with some basic graphs. I now use AuctionX2 and its saves me a lot of time, imports all my items and fees, lets me analyse my sales information in detail and keeps me in touch with my buyers. Also, the tech support these guys offer is second to none with a very prompt response. I think it's early days for this program but they are improving it all the time. All in all a real time saver and also cost effective. Susan.T.
