If you’re a web developer, due to the dynamic nature of the Internet, it’s not always easy trying to figure how a particular website was designed, how it links to a backend database, how the style sheets are imported in to a page and so on. You may not have time to examine a website online, so an alternative is to export the entire site to your drive for evaluation at a later date.
HTTrack is a tool that will enable you to save or export a web page or an entire site to your drive, storing all the directories, web pages, images and other elements associated with the site. When you open the site on your computer, it’s like browsing the site online, apart from the pages are stuck at the date when you downloaded them to your machine.
There is the option to download the files again, at a later date, thus updating the information on your system.
