Although Vista was released back in January 2007, there are still a small number of applications that are not yet fully Vista compatible. If you're an Outpost Security Suite 2007 user, you're stuck with a version that may prevent you from upgrading your operating system. All is not lost, however, as the brand new Outpost Security Suite 2008 is now available for a public preview. This is Vista compatible and ships with a number of improvements.
However, it's not all good. The beta preview will not support real-time email scanning in the first release, which is a likely source of Trojan attack - there are many emails that ship with attachments that look legitimate and can easily be opened by the end user. There are other problem as the anti-spam module isn't available and the web control module is also disabled. However, if you're an existing user, perhaps just bought Vista, it might be worth checking the first public preview of Outpost Security Suite 2008.
